ECDPM’s GREAT Insights about role of private sector in SDGs

European centre gathers perspectives from various private sector stakeholders

Private sector matters for development. And the good news is that they are now explicitly recognised in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For this issue of GREAT Insights the European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM) has gathered perspectives from various sources working in the private sector.

ECDPM has talked to Kalilou Traoré (ECOWAS Commissioner) in charge of industry and private sector promotion, on their challenges for West Africa. The edition also features an article by Roberto Ridolfi (director of the European Commission unit for Sustainable Growth and Development) on its new Agriculture Financing Initiative: AgriFI. This issue also has contributions from Made in Africa Initiative, Eurochambres, SGS, the Center for Global Development, Eurodad, the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency and TradeMark East Africa (TMEA).
